Sasaya, a Manila-based folk-alternative band, has released a new single from their forthcoming album.

Titled “Lambing,” the track is which now avaiilable on digital music platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
“Lambing,” according to male vocalist Cyrus Valdez who co-wrote the song with the band’s female singer Coco Cordero, Is about a conversation between man and God. It marks Cyrus and Coco’s first co-writing project.

Recalling how they came up with song, Cyrus says the line in the song, “hayaan mong ako'y maligaw sa iyong tingin” came to him when he was in a coffee shop. He then sent a voice note to the band’s drummer Josiah Matias so they can both work on it when they were ready.

“Halos kumpleto na yung kanta pero sinabi ko noon kay Coco na magsulat s’ya ng lyrics for the second stanza. Ang ganda ng lumabas. Actually, ‘yong favorite line ko ‘yong sinulat n’ya na ‘Paano kita ipagpapalit? Walang ibang mas kukulit, mas nakakainis, mas nakakangitngit sa’yo’,” he shares.

Prior to “Lambing,” the band also released their song “Bukas” in January this year. Both songs will be included in their forthcoming album under MCA Music

Completing the band members are Jezi Matias and Jonathan Mendoza on guitars, and Jazmier Mirza on bass.
